BGP-Origins uses standard DNS query and update packets. As a result, users can interface with BGP-Origins using common tools
such as dig, or with standard DNS scripting tools such as
Net::DNS for Perl, Python, etc.
Example usage of how to use some of these options is detailed on our HOWTO page. In addition, a
simple reference script (written in Perl) is provided to play with, and to illustrate the ease with which anyone may create
their own custom logic:
